We here at Comic Stripper industries illustrate a huge amount of licensed art. We know the importance of slavishly maintaining the visual integrity of the particular licensed character.
We are currently having fun creating artwork for Ben 10 and Gogo-crazybones.

Late last year, we got a call from the Honey monster to create a series of comics to put inside boxes of Sugar Puffs. We also created the box art to go along with the promotion.
As of this month, they’re in your local supermarket.
Go get them and enjoy a good read while munching on your breakfast.

One of the great pleasures of being a comic book artist is illustrating covers and strips for the galaxy’s greatest comic 2000AD. I bought the first issue back in the 70s and read it every week religiously and then got to work on it back in the 90s. Now I’m considered a veteran 2000AD artist!
What follows is the progression from pencils to finished art of my latest cover which was on the shelves last week.

IN THE ARMY....

We recently had the opportunity to illustrate a documentary strip of the British army’s ongoing presence in Afghanistan.
The strip appeared in Camouflage magazine and made us acutely aware of the courage in adversity displayed by the troops in battlefield situations.
A couple of years ago, the Comic Stripper illustrated a series of graphic novels for Osprey publishing that retold famous battles during the second world war.
In both cases, a comic book story offered the opportunity to graphically tell difficult and challenging stories in a clear documentary format.

Everybody read comics as a kid.

Comic book illustration resonates with all of us. At one point or another we all read comics as a kid.
They are a major part of the current popular culture and for that reason, we are often asked to create comic book illustrations for advertising, marketing and editorial purposes.
A good example are a series of illustrations created for Virgin Atlantic Upper Class. These were bound together as a calendar and used to highlight the fantastic upper class service provided on their flights.
